The New Look of the Boston Celtics
Posted by: | CommentsIn 2008, the Boston Celtics won their 17th NBA Championship Title, after a drought of over 22 years. It also marked the first NBA Championship Title of key Celtic players Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen – three of the most deserving and respected veteran players in the league. After an untouchable 2007-2008 season, the Celtics went into the 2008-2009 season with passion, focus, and the same hard-nosed defensive style of play that they became known for. The Celtics set a league record of 27 wins and only 2 losses in their first 29 games of the 2008-2009 season. Things looked good, but disaster would strike after the All Star break as Kevin Garnett would be out for the rest of the season due to an injury. Although the team made it into the Playoffs with a 62-20 regular season record, they would be defeated by the Orlando Magic in a second round, seven-game series. For the 2009-2010 NBA season, the Boston Celtics have made some major roster changes in hopes of getting the right players to win another championship title. Read on to learn about some of the trades and acquisitions that the Celtics have made for the start of the 2009-2010 season.

The Big Three is here to stay
Before we get into the acquisitions that the Celtics has made, lets take a look at their main core: The Big Three. The Big Three, or the Boston Three Party, is comprised of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. These three players are among the most respected, talented, and experienced players in the league. Feared by competitors, the Big Three are ready, willing, and hungry for another NBA Championship Title. With Kevin Garnett back in good health, the Celtics definitely have something to be proud about and something to look forward to in the coming season. Aside from holding on to the Big Three, the Celtics have also kept a number of other players on the roster, including Kendrick Perkins, Eddie House, Rajon Rondo, and Glen Davis.
The new look of the Celtics roster
To complement their main core, the Celtics made a number of moves to bulk up their bench and make a strong run for the 2010 NBA Championship Title. The biggest news in Celtics acquisitions is Rasheed Wallace, a veteran forward and center who can stretch out the defense with his shooting, play well in the post, and help with crashing the boards. Wallace also brings in experience, being a four-time NBA All-Star and a one-time NBA Champion. Aside from acquiring Wallace, the Celtics also got a talented and versatile guard/forward named Marquis Daniels. With these two major acquisitions, the Celtics have been able to deepen their bench, while still holding on the key players who have helped them the most in the past few seasons.

Bodog poker open strategy tips
Be selective in the early stages of the tournament. Starting chip stacks are generous enough for you to play a tight game, waiting for premium hands or strong position plays with medium strength holdings. You should bet hands that you feel are in the lead for value, and keep bluffs to a minimum. Try to avoid getting all your chips in without the absolute nuts, and try to win medium-size pots that don’t put your tournament life in danger.
