Gambling Could Help US Economy
ByThe United States could raise nearly $52 billion in revenue over the next decade by lifting a three-year-old ban on Internet gambling and taxing the activity instead, according to a study. (This study was done by PricewaterhouseCoopers). The release of this latest study can only help Representative Barney Frank when he attempts to convince members of Congress to overturn the UIGEA. That could come later this month after Frank has stated his intention to re-introduce legislation that would eliminate the UIGEA and regulate Internet gambling in the US.
In the US, everybody in Washington is concerned about the economy. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are looking for ways to help struggling Americans……… Online Gambling is the answer.
Americans have spoken out and what they are saying is that they want the right to legally gamble online. No matter what laws are passed in the US, it will not stop Americans from spending their leisure time at online casinos!! (That means that people in the US have ignored the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and established that they are going to gamble online no matter what the government does to stop it).

Many in the gambling world hope that the poker loving president (Barack Obama) will turn his sights on the greatly contested Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, in the hopes of stimulating the nation’s economy.
We might all soon be surprised by the repealing of the stringent Internet gambling legislation.
